Marge & Rod ~ Engaged

Last week I met up with Marge and Rod to do their engagement shoot. Since Rod is currently serving our country stationed at Camp Pendleton, they decided on the Pier in Oceanside as their spot for pics. Take a look below, I think it was a great choice. The light was so great that evening, coupled with Marge and Rod's gentle spirits, it made for a beautiful evening. I'm looking forward to their upcoming June wedding in Los Angeles. Enjoy!

50 1.2 ~ One of my new toys

Yep, I went to make another investment last week before I went to Ohio. I bought a 50mm 1.2 Im in love with the colors and contrast that lens offers. I can't wait to go shoot with it.

Introducing "PartyPics"

Last weekend I shot a wedding with Craig Tiscareno at the twin oaks victorian gardens. I asked him if I could set up my PartyPics booth and give it trial run... Well, it was more than a trial run, it was a smashing success. During the day, us photographers spend most of our time focusing on the bride and groom and the guests really only get what's left over. I love shooting the families and friends at the wedding but it seems that there's just not enough time in the day. Well, PartyPics is going to be a fun and exciting way to make sure all of the guests have their photo taken. I really want to start using PartyPics at all of my weddings this year! Scott Russo the founder and front man of the band Unwritten Law played an acoustic set for the bride and groom during the reception. Wow, that was a treat.

Sara & Ted ~ Engaged

Anytime a friend or a family member hires me to shoot a wedding, I am absolutely privileged and honored to cover their event. It seems there is more pressure during those times, but being able to help document those memories is so special. I have known Ted since high school and we were actually roommates on a couple of different occasions. Ted met Sara just over 6 years ago and that's when we all became friends. There are many years of great memories in this long lasting friendship! Well this October Ted and Sara have decided to throw one heck of a party at the US Grant Hotel, aka "get married". I had a great time shooting these photos at the beach in Carlsbad where they got engaged. Im looking forward to photographing their marriage celebration this coming October. Ashley & Joe ~ Engaged

Last week I met Ashley and Joe at Seaside Beach for their engagement. The day was perfect for photography, a little gray with the sun and blue sky peeking through now and then. Ashley and Joe were such a pleasure to shoot, as the camera just seemed to love them. They were so relaxed and easy going that it made the session flow seamlessly.
